Benjamin Duong, PharmD
Benjamin Duong is the Clinical Pharmacogenomics Service Manager under Nemours Precision Medicine Program at Nemours Children's Health in Wilmington, DE. He is a pharmacist that completed his resident in Clinical Pharmacogenomics in 2018 at the University of Florida College of Pharmacy. Since he was hired at Nemours after his residency, he has implemented the Nemours Clinical Pharmacogenomics Service which includes developing an in-house pharmacogenomic panel with the Molecular Diagnostic Laboratory, integrating pharmacogenetic clinical decision support into the electronic medical records, providing clinical recommendations, and educating patients and health care professionals regarding pharmacogenomics. He has collaborated with multiple institutions within the NIH-funded Implementing Genomics in Practice (IGNITE) Network and co-authored a dozen papers regarding the implementation of pharmacogenomics. He is also the clinical pharmacogenetics specialist for the NIH-funded IGNITE Network's A Depression and Opioid Pragmatic Trial in Pharmacogenetics (ADOPT-PGX) that enrolled pediatric patients requiring antidepressants for depression.
