Timyka Sanders began her distinguished career in healthcare in 1990 as a medic in the United States Army, where she developed a strong foundation in clinical care and leadership. She transitioned to civilian nursing in 1995 as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), and continued to advance her education and expertise, becoming a Registered Nurse (RN) in 2004 and earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in 2010.

Throughout her career, Timyka has held several leadership roles, including managing an inpatient pediatric unit and serving as the Nurse Manager of the Family Medicine Residency Program at Womack Army Medical Center. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she played a pivotal role in overseeing a drive-thru testing facility that served hundreds of soldiers and their families daily.

In 2023, Timyka joined Nemours Children’s Health in Radnor as Nurse Manager, where she continues to lead with compassion, integrity, and a deep commitment to pediatric care. She is passionate about coaching and mentoring nurses, fostering professional growth, and building resilient, high-performing teams.
