Kristen has had the privilege of working as a NICU nurse for the past 22 years and for the last 11 years, she's has been a part of the Nemours Children's Health Family. Kristen transitioned into her role as Nurse manager 1 year ago. Kristen's greatest joy is supporting those who are at the very beginning of their nursing journey. Her goal is to make sure that every new nurse who enters the Nemours NICU feel support, prepared and safe. That they have the guidance, resources and mentorship they need to thrive. She believes that when we invest deeply in our new nurses, we strengthen the entire unit and ultimately improve the care that we provide to our patients and families.
