Doug Makai is the Division Chief for OB Anesthesia and the Medical Director of Anesthesia for the Advanced Delivery Program at Nemours Children's Health Delaware Valley.  He also has served as the Medical Director of OB Anesthesia and OB Perioperative Services for the Christiana Care Health System since 2015.  He received his medical degree from the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Swarthmore College.  He completed his residency in anesthesiology at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA.
