Daniel Feig, MD, PhD, MS-Clinical Investigation

Dr. Feig completed his undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology at Princeton University, received his MD and PhD (Biochemistry) from the University of Washington and a Master’s Degree in Biostatistics and Clinical Investigation at Baylor College of Medicine. He trained in Pediatrics at Children’s of Seattle and Pediatric Nephrology at Boston Children’s Hospital. He spent 10 years on faculty at Texas Children’s Hospital. In 2011, Dr. Feig joined the faculty of UAB and Children’s of Alabama as Director of the Division of Nephrology.
Dr. Feig is the Medical Director of the Pediatric Dialysis Unit and runs the outpatient programs in Childhood Hypertension and Pediatric Genetic Kidney Disease. His research focuses on the physiology of childhood hypertension and mechanisms of hypertensive target organ damage.
He has been married for 34 years and has three sons age 29, 26 and 22. Despite living in Alabama for 14 years, remains a (beleaguered) fan of University of Washington football and basketball.
