Elizabeth Mullen, MD
Dr. Elizabeth A. Mullen is a pediatric hematologist-oncologist in Boston, Massachusetts. She serves as an as an Institute Physician in Pediatric Oncology at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School and in Boston, Massachusetts. She received her MD from Yale University and subsequently completed her pediatric residency and pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital (BCH). Her expertise is in pediatric renal tumors, and she serves as program leader and institutional disease expert for renal tumors at DFCI/BCH. She is Vice-Chair of the COG Renal Tumors Committee and is Chair of the Renal Tumors Biology and Classification Study, as well as Chair for the protocol for Treatment of Very Low Risk and Standard Risk Wilms Tumor. Her interest in the improvement of outcomes in pediatric renal tumor patients has led to multiple studies in areas of translational, basic biologic and clinical research. These include practice changing studies on surveillance imaging, and identification of prognostic biomarkers in ctDNA of patients with Wilms Tumor. She is the Chair of COG Protocol AREN2231, for the Risk Adapted treatment of patients with Favorable Histology Wilms Tumor, which is expected to open to accrual in 12/2024.
