Rebecca Philipsborn, Rebecca Philipsborn, MD, MPA
Dr. Philipsborn an Associate Professor and General Pediatrician at Emory University School of Medicine and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, jointly appointed at Rollins School of Public Health Gangarosa Department of Environmental Health. At Emory, she is the Director of Emory’s 3rd year Pediatric Clerkship as well as the Climate Change and Environmental Health “thread” for medical students, and she was selected to the 2024 class of Macy Faculty Scholars by the Macy Foundation for her educational leadership. Dr. Philipsborn serves on the executive committee for the American Academy of Pediatrics Council on Environmental Health and Climate Change, the Lancet Countdown on Health and Climate Change US Working Group, and the Southeast Pediatric Environmental Health Specialty Unit (PEHSU). She completed medical school and residency training at Emory, holds an MPA in Environmental Science and Policy from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, and an AB in English from Princeton University.
