Erica is a 3rd year pediatric GI fellow at Nemours Children’s Hospital, DE. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, she attended medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. She then went on to complete her pediatric residency at the University of Connecticut/Connecticut Children’s Hospital before joining the Nemours GI team. Throughout her training, she has taken interest in eosinophilic GI disorders including eosinophilic esophagitis, which has also become the focus of her research during fellowship. Her current research aims to identify risk factors associated with poor treatment compliance and follow-up in pediatric patients with eosinophilic esophagitis, and how can they be mitigated to improve future care and follow-up. After fellowship, she plans to pursue a career in academic medicine.
