Dr. Moody is the Director and Section Chief of Pediatric Palliative and Supportive Care and Professor of Pediatrics, Palliative and Integrative Medicine at the Children’s Cancer Hospital at UT MD Anderson Cancer Center.  Dr. Moody graduated from Upstate Medical Center and completed her Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Fellowship training at New York University, and simultaneously completed a Clinical Epidemiology & Health Services Research Fellowship and Master of Science from Cornell University. She is also a licensed acupuncturist. She holds Board Certifications in Pediatrics, Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and Hospice and Palliative Medicine.  Dr. Moody develops and tests interventions to improve the symptom experience and quality of life of children with cancer.   She has been Principal investigator on two NIH/NCI funded studies: one to assess access of childhood cancer survivors to rehabilitation therapy and once testing a palliative care communication intervention. She is also a coPI for a new study to test an herbal cancer treatment for children.
