Dr. De Jong is a graduate of Cornell University Medical College, completed residency training in pediatrics at the University of Michigan Medical Center, and a fellowship in Community Pediatrics at the University of Rochester Medical Center.  

He is board certified in Child Abuse Pediatrics and has initiated and has been involved in the CARE Program at Nemours for almost 30 years.  

He has an appointment as a Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the Sidney Kimmel Medical School of Thomas Jefferson University.
