Shanique Kilgallon, MD FAAP
Dr. Shanique Brown Kilgallon is a Pediatric Anesthesiologist and Clinical Associate Professor at Nemours Children’s Health in Wilmington, DE. Dr. Kilgallon is a passionate advocate for well-being, equity, and collaboration in medicine. A graduate of NYU School of Medicine, she completed her anesthesiology training at the University of Pennsylvania and a pediatric anesthesiology fellowship at CHOP, where she later served on faculty for over five years.
With a deep commitment to medical education, Dr. Kilgallon has guided learners at every level—formerly as Director of the Pediatric Anesthesiology Resident Rotation at CHOP and now as Director of Collaborative Practice in Perioperative Services. Her teaching spans both clinical excellence and the cultivation of psychologically safe, inclusive environments.
She currently serves as Vice President of the Delaware Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics and co-chair of its JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) Committee. She is also the founder of the Microaffirmations in Perioperative Personnel Project (MAPP), a program designed to promote well-being and belonging in high-stress clinical settings. Of note, she has recently been appointed Director of Clinician Well-being for the Delaware Valley as of September 2025.
