Brett Shannon, M.D.

Dr. Brett Shannon is a Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon at Nemours Children's Hospital, Delaware and Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery and Pediatrics, Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. Dr. Shannon attended Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine for his Medical Degree as well as for his residency. His fellowship in Pediatric Orthopedics was completed at Boston’s Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Shannon's clinical practice is focused on scoliosis and spinal deformity, sports medicine problems and arthroscopic procedures, as well as infant, child, and adolescent hip disorders. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, a member of the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America, and participates in the Scoliosis Research Society, the Pediatric Spine Study Group and the Fox Congenital Spine Study Group, and his research has been published in the Journal of Pediatric Orthopedics, the Journal of the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America, and the Journal of Spine Deformity.
He has been voted by the region's physicians as a Top Doctor for Pediatric Orthopedics by Main Line Today magazine for several years.
