Dr. Radtke has presented at many national and international meetings and has published many manuscripts in the field of interventional cardiac catheterization: 58 peer reviewed articles; 113 reviews, book chapters, and other invited presentations and 148 abstracts. He has contributed to the development, evaluation and approval of several new medical devices including participation as principal and co-investigator in research grants, drug trials and device trials. Dr. Radtke has also introduced these new techniques to many cardiac catheterization laboratories inside and outside the US.
Interests:
Clinical: Non-surgical treatment of congenital heart disease with percutaneous catheter interventions in pediatric and adult congenital heart disease; Integrated surgical and transcatheter interventions
Research: Interventional cardiac catheterization, development and evaluation of new therapeutic procedures and implants, assessment of long-term outcomes. Functional and microstructural effects of cardiovascular interventions. Integration of biomaterials & tissue engineering and clinical practice to develop new repair techniques.
