Malgorzata Lutwin-Kawalec, Malgorzata Lutwin-Kawalec, MD, FAAP
Dr. Malgorzata “Gosia” Lutwin-Kawalec was born in Poland and is a graduate of the Medical University of Gdansk, Poland. Her anesthesia residency was at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey/Robert Wood Johnson, and she completed her training with pediatric anesthesia fellowship at the Childrens’ Hospital of Philadelphia.
Dr. Lutwin-Kawalec has twelve years’ experience in pediatric anesthesia, with special interests in scoliosis surgery and clinical education. She is a member of the Society for Pediatric Anesthesia Education and Research Committees.
In addition to her anesthesia practice, her interests include physician well-being, and she is the Well-being Director for the Anesthesia Department. She is the founding Co-chair of the Anesthesia Department Well-Being Committee, and Section Editor for the Society for Pediatric Anesthesia Well-Being Committee website.
Dr. Lutwin-Kawalec is a member of the America Society of Anesthesiologists, board certified in anesthesiology and pediatric anesthesiology. She is also a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Lutwin resides in South Jersey with her husband Max, and enjoys life with her two sons, a dog and a cat.
