Stephanie Guarino is a native of Pittsburgh, PA who completed her undergraduate degrees in Neuroscience and Art History at Baylor University in Waco, Texas and graduated as an Honors Program Scholar with Distinction. She completed her Doctor of Medicine Degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas with a certificate in the Care of the Underserved. She moved to Delaware for residency and completed an Internal Medicine-Pediatrics residency at the Jefferson Medical College-Christiana Care Health System and a fellowship in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at Nemours/AI duPont Hospital for Children. She also obtained a Master of Science in Health Policy at Jefferson College of Population Health.

Currently Stephanie is the Medical Director of Adolescent/Young Adult Oncology at the Lisa Dean Moseley Foundation Institute for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Nemours, focusing on building an Adolescent/Young Adult Oncology program in the state. She is also the Medical Director at the Center for Special Health Care Needs Sickle Cell Program at Christiana Care, which provides a medical home to adult patients with sickle cell disease. Her research focuses transitions of care in sickle cell disease and the health care disparities in adolescent/young adult oncology.
