Eileen Shieh, MD

Eileen Shieh, MD is a pediatric rehabilitation medicine physician at Nemours Children’s Hospital-Delaware and an assistant professor at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. She is quadruple board-certified in pediatrics, physical medicine & rehabilitation, pediatric rehabilitation medicine, and brain injury medicine.
Originally from Buffalo, NY, Dr. Shieh received her undergraduate degree from Pennsylvania State University and went on to earn her medical degree at Sidney Kimmel Medical College (previously Jefferson Medical College). She completed a combined residency in pediatrics and physical medicine & rehabilitation at the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and Nemours Children’s Hospital-Delaware. After graduation, she assumed the role of program director of the pediatrics and physical medicine & rehabilitation residency and as block director for the second-year medical student curriculum at Jefferson.
Dr. Shieh sees a variety of patients within the inpatient, consultative, and outpatient settings including those with brain injury, spinal cord injury, neuromuscular disease, and skeletal dysplasia. She has a clinical interest in treating children with limb differences and is the primary physiatrist for the hospital’s multidisciplinary prosthetics clinic. Dr. Shieh has a passion for medical education and teaches annual resident didactics on normal and pathological gait and a variety of pediatric rehabilitation topics.
