Sarah Russo, MSN, CPNP-AC is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in pediatric acute care, trauma, burn, surgical, and perioperative medicine. She has been practicing at Nemours Children's Hospital for the past four years and currently works in the Pre-Anesthesia Testing department, where she focuses on perioperative risk assessment, patient optimization, and evidence-based preparation for pediatric surgical patients and their families.

Prior to joining Nemours, Mrs. Russo practiced at the Johns Hopkins Children's Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, where she served as a Pediatric Trauma, Burn, and Surgery Nurse Practitioner for 7 years. Johns Hopkins Hospital is a Level I Trauma Center, the state’s only pediatric trauma center, and one of the few American Burn Association–verified pediatric burn centers in the country. In this role, she cared for high-acuity pediatric patients with complex traumatic, surgical, and burn injuries within a multidisciplinary academic medical center.

Mrs. Russo holds Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification and previously served as an Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS) instructor, reflecting her commitment to trauma education and clinical excellence. In addition to her clinical practice, she holds leadership responsibilities supporting advanced practice provider development, education, and quality improvement initiatives.
