Keisha Bird, DNP, APRN, CPNP, BC-ADM is a Board-Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner holding a Doctorate degree in Nursing Practice (DNP) currently practicing at Nemours Children’s Specialty Care, Jacksonville, Florida. She also earned and currently maintain a board certification in advanced diabetes management.

She has well over 24 years’ experience in the specialized care of children with endocrine disorders and spent the later 20 years of her career in a combined role as a practicing clinician, lead clinical research coordinator, research program manager, and sub-investigator. She developed considerable experience working with a multidisciplinary team within the division of endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism. While working in this highly specialized area, her clinical research responsibilities entailed coordinating complex federally funded, foundation and pharmaceutical industry sponsored clinical research trials. Over the history of her career, her role has evolved as an educator, clinician, researcher, as well as administrator.
