I am a veteran of the United States Army with 23 years of experience in Emergency nursing. I worked in different settings throughout my career from level 1 trauma in adult emergency care to now 10 years of emergency pediatric care at Nemours Children's Hospital.

In Nemours I have served several roles such as core charge nurse, interim educator and now as the Manager for Emergency Services and Short Stay unit for Nemours Children's Florida.

During my years at Nemours, I have developed several education initiatives for the Emergency Department including a 6-hour Triage class, Dine and learn monthly education, Sepsis awareness education, new hires treatment room and equipment orientation, along with multiple CI projects to improve patient experience. 

I am a member of ENA, Sepsis Aliance and the National Society of Leadership and Succes. Have TNCC, ENPC, NRP, HERT, Advanced 12 lead EKG, PALS, ACLS and BLS certifications. Hold two certifications CEN and CPEN. Recipient of six daisy award nominations, Nurse of the year for Saint cloud Hospital 2013, Nurse of the Year for Nemours Children's Hospital 2020, 
Daisy Leader of the year 2021, Tracy Jones Award 2022, Transformational Leader Award 2023.
