This regularly scheduled series offers nurses the chance to attend didactic sessions, either in-person or remotely, on topics relevant to their patient population. The educational topics focus on specific pediatric illness./injuries and are identified through observation, requests or formal learning needs assessments. All content is up-to-date and evidence-based, helping Intermediate Care/Step-Down Unit nurses provide the best care and improve patient outcomes.

Objectives:

1. By the end of the session, the learner will be able to identify three nurse specific interventions for patients post kidney transplant. 

2. By the end of the session, the learner will verbalize understanding of the post op care for patients with a kidney transplant. 

3. By the end of the session, the learner will understand potential complications for patients who undergo a kidney transplant.
