Objectives

  • Identify and evaluate common ocular surface color changes and lesions.
  • Discuss common eye/vision problems in children with history of prematurity.
  • Describe benign vs concerning features for strabismus, pigmented lesions around the eye, and ptosis.
  • Differential diagnoses for strabismus, pigmented lesions around the eye, and ptosis.

 

Practice Change

  • When possible, include photos and/or documents when refer patients for eye/vision problem
  • Prioritizing urgency of ophthalmology consultation.
