Course Title: Pediatric Abdominal and Pelvic Trauma 

Course Description:  This one-hour course provides an in-depth overview of pediatric abdominal and pelvic trauma. Participants will learn to identify, assess, and manage trauma in pediatric patients, focusing on the unique anatomical and physiological considerations in this population. Through case studies and interactive discussions, healthcare professionals will enhance their skills in providing timely and effective care to pediatric trauma patients.

Learning Objectives:

At the end of this session, participants will be able to 

  • Identify the common causes and types of abdominal and pelvic trauma in pediatric patients.
  • Assess the severity of trauma using appropriate diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Implement effective management strategies to stabilize and treat pediatric patients with abdominal and pelvic trauma.

Target Audience: Emergency department nurses and other healthcare professionals involved in the acute care of pediatric trauma patients.
