Objectives
As a result of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Apply evidence-based humor-based resilience-building exercises and techniques to decrease stress, enhance coping strategies, and promote a smoother transition between work and home environments for improved overall well-being.
  • Differentiate between constructive and destructive uses of humor in healthcare settings.
  • Recognize appropriate contexts and potential risks associated with using humor in patient care and team interactions.

Practice Change

  • Recognize benefits of humor and intentionally cultivate humor in their practice.
