Objectives

-Discuss trauma growth over the years including number of patients treated, age-specific trends in trauma, and mechanism of injuries and how this has impacted our surgery team. 

-List Trauma Activation criteria at Nemours based on evidence-based practice

-Describe evidence-based treatment for pediatric patients post-injury including head injury management, wound care, and cast care.

-Discuss the importance of education to prevent injuries (i.e.-Car Seat Safety).
