This simulation is designed to teach the healthcare team to be aware of initial crisis management steps and emergency equipment location/utility.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Illustrate effective teamwork (including closed-loop communication, shared mental model, SBAR, and clear roles & responsibilities.)
- Demonstrate operational preparedness in the PICU for high-acuity, low-occurence (HALO) events.
- Display critical actions to stabilize the PICU patient.
