Objectives

1.Describe how GLP-1 agonists delay gastric emptying and why this increases the risk of retained gastric contents despite standard "nothing by mouth" (NPO) fasting times.

 2: Identify GLP-1 agonist medications that are used in the pediatric population for Type 2 diabetes and/or weight management.
