Objectives
Describe the principles of Whole Child Health and identify strategies implemented by Nemours Children’s Health to address both medical and non-medical drivers of pediatric health within and beyond clinical settings.
Analyze recent advancements and initiatives in clinical care, associate well-being, and community engagement at Nemours, as well as their impact on improving health outcomes for children and families
Practice Change
- Clinicians can further build the principles of Whole Child Health into their practice by proactively addressing patients’ medical needs in the context of social drivers that impact their overall health, such as education, nutrition, housing, and freedom from violence.

Nemours Children’s Health has been authorized by the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with AAPA CME Criteria. This activity is designated for a maximum of 1.00 AAPA Category 1 CME credits. Physician Associates should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.

- 1.00 MOC ABP - PediatricsSuccessful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the learner to earn up to 1.00 MOC points in the American Board of Pediatrics’ (ABP) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit learner completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABP MOC credit.
- 1.00 ACPE Continuing Pharmacy Education (CPE) Credits
In support of improving patient care, Nemours Children’s Health is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team. Nemours Children’s Health designates this activity for a maximum 1.00 contact hours of continuing pharmacy education credit. Participants should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
