This regularly scheduled series provides Nurses and Nursing Assistants the opportunity to attend a didactic session that discusses and analyzes the latest research, interesting cases, and evidence-based practices related to the specialty of medically complex pediatric patients.

Objectives

- Familiarize nursing staff with available bottle systems/nipples within our hospital.

- Gain insight into various bottle brands and flow rates and how each can impact the swallow.

- Understand rationale behind why certain nipples may be recommended.

- Learn to identify signs that a nipple may be too fast or too slow for a baby.
