This regularly scheduled series provides Nurses and Nursing Assistants the opportunity to attend a didactic session that discusses and analyzes the latest research, interesting cases, and evidence-based practices related to the specialty of medically complex pediatrics patients.

Objectives

  1. Recognize prevalence of pain and physical symptoms.
  2. Identify the role of the biopsychosocial model in cycle of pain.
  3. Describe the treatment of pain and symptom management.
